XEOMIN® INFO: 

Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA). Xeomin® solely consists of botulinum toxin type A without any additives. 1. 2. Abstain from consuming alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to the procedure, as this may increase the likelihood of bleeding and bruising at the treated area(s).

3. Consider taking Tylenol® (if not contraindicated) one hour before your appointment to alleviate any potential discomfort.

4. Do not wax, bleach, tweeze, or use hair removal creams in the designated area(s) for treatment.

5. Avoid exposing your skin to sunburn, as sunburned skin is challenging to treat.

6. If you have a history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, please notify the doctor you have scheduled your appointment with at least one week prior. This will allow us sufficient time to prescribe medication to prevent an outbreak.

7. Always provide your doctor with a comprehensive list of all medications, including supplements, and your complete medical history.

Instructions for After Neurotoxin Treatment

1. In the initial 1-2 hours post-treatment, make an effort to engage the injected muscles by practicing expressions like frowning, raising your eyebrows, and squinting. While this is believed to be helpful, it won’t adversely affect your treatment if you forget.

2. Avoid strenuous exercise, yoga, hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours.

3. The full effect of your treatment may take up to 14 days to become evident. Typically, most patients notice a change within 4-5 days. The muscles need time to weaken and the lines to fade after Botox® treatment. Kindly wait for the full 14 days before assessing your satisfaction with the results.

4. Avoid touching or rubbing the injected site for 2-4 hours after treatment. Steer clear of strenuous exercise and sweating for the remainder of the day. Additionally, avoid lying down or leaning forward for 2-4 hours post-treatment.

5. There is a small possibility of bruising at the treated site, but this is temporary. Rest assured, any minor bumps or marks will vanish within a few hours of treatment.

6. Refrain from facial treatments, microdermabrasion, or massages for 14 days following the treatment.

7. If you experience discomfort, Tylenol is suitable to take (unless contraindicated). Avoid Ibuprofen, Advil, or Motrin.

8. Neurotoxin Cosmetic provides temporary results. Initially, you may notice that the effects last around 3-9 months. With regular treatment appointments as recommended by your clinician, subsequent treatments may have results that endure longer than 4 months.

9. Refrain from smoking for 24 hours after Botox injections as it may lead to serious complications.

10. Please avoid massaging the treated area for at least one week following the procedure.

11. Steer clear of tanning for a period of 6 weeks after treatment, as it may heighten the possibility of bruising or redness resulting from Botox injections.
